Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick attends a court hearing Thursday where the judge ruled that he violated the terms of his bond in a perjury case.A judge ordered Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to jail Thursday for violating the terms of his bond in his perjury case, a decision the judge said he would have made for any “John Six-Pack” defendant.


Helicopter crash site proving hard to reach - Thu, 7 Aug 2008 14:36:15 GMT

According to GPS coordinates provided by the U.S. Forest Service, this is the scene of the  helicopter crash near Junction City, Calif., as seen Wednesday afternoon. Fire raging through rugged terrain on Thursday was complicating efforts to recover victims from the California forest where a firefighting helicopter crashed. Nine people are presumed dead.

Clark Rockefeller, in a photo released by the Boston Police on Tuesday, was arrested for allegedly kidnapping his seven-year-old daughter Reigh Storrow Boss. He calls himself Clark Rockefeller, but police don't believe that's his real name. Now the man jailed on charges of kidnapping his daughter is being investigated in a killing in California.


Cops: Teen had Camp David map, fake IDs - Wed, 6 Aug 2008 22:22:53 GMT

Collin McKenzie-Gude of Bethesda, Md., 18, was charged with manufacture and possession of a destructive device. Authorities investing the teen also found fake IDs, a map of Camp David and other documents. A 17-year-old Gaithersburg youth also is charged. Police investigating a teenager accused of bomb-making and weapons violations found a map of Camp David with a presidential motorcade route in his Maryland home, a prosecutor said.

Johnson hid in the woods knowing police were coming after him.


Midwest slaying suspect pleads not guilty - Wed, 6 Aug 2008 18:16:19 GMT
A man suspected of a June killing spree that left eight people dead in Illinois and Missouri pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to one of the Illinois slayings.
