The events on the Community Calendar are posted free of charge to inform the public within the broadcast range of WLIO NBC Lima of community events being sponsored by local non-profit organizations to include (but not limited to) religious groups, fire or police departments, social or activity groups, and government agencies. Generally speaking we do not post regular religous services even with guest speakers.

Please submit all information at least one week prior to the event or any ordering/registration deadline for an event. Two to three weeks prior would be best. Shawnee Weekday Early Learning Center will be holding the Rainbow Run 4 Kids, a 5K Color Run and Kids Fun Run. This event will be used to raise funds to take students on educational field trips and for resources in the classrooms. Early pre-registration will be available until May 15, 2016 at a cost of $25 for adults (age 12 and over). After May 15th and on race day, registration is $35 for adults (age 12 and over). Each paid registration will include entry to the race, a t-shirt and a color packet. Event Information:
The YMCA Learn-to-Swim/ Swim Safe Program is a fun way for kids 3 and up to learn basic water skills and how to be safe around the water. These classes are not designed to teach children to become accomplished swimmers, but are introductory courses. The classes will run from June 6-10. Only $5 for all five days!

Grief Trails is a day camp for children ages 6-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one. At camp, they learn about the importance of communicating emotions and needs to others while working hands-on with gentle horses. Children come together with their peers in an encouraging environment and participate in activities that will help them express their feelings, learn effective communication tools and have fun at the same time.
