The events on the Community Calendar are posted free of charge to inform the public within the broadcast range of WLIO NBC Lima of community events being sponsored by local non-profit organizations to include (but not limited to) religious groups, fire or police departments, social or activity groups, and government agencies. Generally speaking we do not post regular religous services even with guest speakers.

Please submit all information at least one week prior to the event or any ordering/registration deadline for an event. Two to three weeks prior would be best. Tickets are $25.00 each and include an Italian buffet meal, dessert, coffee, and or ice tea and the evening’s entertainment. A cash bar will also be available. The name of the murder mystery is “Bobby and Bonnie Got Married”. Attendees at the dinner are a part of the play “invited” to the wedding reception of Bobby Locopano and Bonnie Figadelia, grown children of two long-feuding, crime families. This reception marks the first time in nearly 100 years that the Locompano and Figadelia family members have gathered together in one room without violence (or so we hope). The initial dispute goes all the way back to the days of prohibition and the bank robberies of John Dillinger.

A free developmental screening for children birth through age five will be held on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 from 4-7 PM with registration ending at 6:30 PM at Market Street Presbyterian Church located at 1100 W Market Street in Lima. Allen County Early Intervention and Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities coordinate the screening, and it's open to all families in the community. Parents can make sure their child is on track in the areas of growth & nutrition, vision, hearing, language, motor skills, behavior, and autism. Challenged Champions Obstacle River Run is a day filled with fun for the whole family! The youth race (13 & under) starts at 2:30pm and the adult race starts at 4:30pm. Runners will take on mud pits, fiery obstacles, mud slides, river crossings, and more! The youth race is a shorter version of the adult race, but still features plenty of mud and obstacles!
