One Of Lima's Kmart Locations Will Be Closing - 10/12/2009

Lima has two K-mart locations but only for a short while longer. The Sears holding corporation, the owner of Kmart, has confirmed their west side location on Allentown Road will be closing early next year. A spokeswoman in Chicago tells your news now that they are not renewing their lease at this location. The lease expires on January 31st but the store has a target date to close of January 17th. The spokesperson says they will have a going out of business sale. The store has 57 employees, all of which will be given an opportunity to move to other area Kmart locations. Those that don't continue with the company will receive a severance package. The Allentown Road location has been open since 1969.
