Vandalism Update - 11/1/2009

Two of the three young men charged in the vandalism case at Continental High School this past summer, will be back in court next month. The trio are linked to the July 15th vandalism at the school in which school computers were damaged, water fountains were torn from the wall and offices and classrooms were ransacked. It's estimated the rampage caused more than 100 thousand dollars in damages. 19 year old David Maxwell the third of Van Wert, plead guilty last Monday for his part in the crime. He faces up to five years in prison when he's sentenced. His co-conspiritors, 19 year old Ryan Wells of Van Wert and 18 year old Cody Rau of Continental have pre-trial hearings scheduled for December first in the Putnam County common pleas court. Trial dates for Wells and Rau are scheduled for December 14th.
