Allen County Health Department Still Taking Appointments for H1N1 Vaccinations - 11/6/2009

H1N1vaccine appointments are currently being scheduled through the Allen County Health Department for the week of November 9-13, 2009. Residents who are in the high risk priority groups and cannot receive an H1N1 vaccine through their doctor can call the Allen County Health Department to schedule an appointment for the H1N1 vaccine. Please call 419-228-INFO (4636), 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, to schedule an appointment. There is no charge for the vaccine.

Appointments are limited to people who fall into the priority groups identified by the Centers for Disease Control and the Ohio Department of Health. These target groups include: pregnant women; people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age; healthcare workers and emergency medical services personnel with direct patient contact, persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old and people 25 through 64 years of age who are at higher risk for 2009 H1N1 because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
