CLEVELAND (AP) - A fourth victim has now been identified from among the bodies discovered at the home of suspected serial killer Anthony Sowell. Nancy Cobbs lived just blocks away from Sowell and disappeared in April. The remains of at least 11 people have been found on Sowell's property in recent days.
PATASKALA, Ohio (AP) - Police say a suburban-Columbus man sent a letter to a business associate saying his family would soon be dead - and then fatally shot his wife, young son and himself. The Columbus Dispatch reports other documents also indicate John Eckard was dealing with financial and health problems.
WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania jury has spared Terrell Yarbrough the death penalty in the 1999 slaying of two Ohio college students. The decision means Yarbrough faces life in prison for killing Franciscan University students Aaron Land and Brian Muha.
LANCASTER, Ohio (AP) - A Fairfield County man has been accused of vandalism after police say he smashed up a woman's grave marker when her daughter refused to date him. The Columbus Dispatch reports Steven Locke faces up to a year in prison if convicted of a felony in the case.
