Here is the latest Ohio news from The Associated Press
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - A Youngstown judge has denied a new trial for Mark Aaron Brown, who is set to be executed next month in the killings of two convenience store clerks in 1994. The Vindicator reports the judge said two witnesses who were part of the request weren't credible.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The voter-authorized plan to put casinos into four Ohio cities remains very much in flux, despite this week's deal on a new site for a proposed casino in Columbus. Any tweaks to the casino plan would require new voter approval.
NAPOLEON, Ohio (AP) - A judge has barred news media from reporting on the upcoming trial of a woman in her child's death, at least until a jury is seated for the trial of the woman's former boyfriend. The Toledo Blade reports Jayme Schwenkmeyer and David Knepley are facing manslaughter and child endangerment charges in the 2008 death.
AKRON, Ohio (AP) - A partially-paralyzed man is suing an Akron hotel, accusing hotel management of discriminating by refusing him a room last month. Shawn Pouliot (POOL'-yaht) tells the Akron Beacon Journal the hotel banned him for soiled linens during a previous stay, which he blames on a broken colostomy pouch.
