A: Thank you for your interest in our previously available School/Organizational Closing Text Messaging.

The offering from our vendor was a major disappointment in the area of reliability. Often times, text messages were delivered far too late to be helpful, and in many cases, the text messages were not delivered at all.

WLIO made the appropriate decision to discontinue offering the service and is exploring potential alternatives to what we believe to be an invaluable and necessary service to our viewers.

WLIO's vendor has made the decision to completely shut down the current service effective March 31, 2009.
