CC's SAWDUST CHOCOLATE PIE

CC’s Sawdust Chocolate Pie

Adapted from Family Circle Magazine

7 egg whites

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 cup shredded coconut

Whipped cream, banana slices and mint leaves

Heat the oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, mix the egg whites, sugar, graham cracker crumbs, pecans, chocolate chips and coconut. Stir well to combine. Pour mixture into an unbaked pastry shell. Bake at 325 degrees for 35-38 minutes, or until glossy and set. Cool on a baking rack. When ready to serve, top with whipped cream, banana slices and a sprig of mint.
Each serving is approximately 450 calories.
