Cleveland Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson
has undergone surgery in New York to repair his injured shoulder.
Jackson's agent, Brian Mackler, said the Browns' leading
tackler, is expected to make a full recovery in 12 weeks. The
operation took place at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New
York and was performed by Dr. Frank Cordasco.
Jackson got hurt defending a pass in the first half of Sunday's
27-14 loss at Pittsburgh.
The Browns placed him on injured reserve Tuesday. Coach Eric
Mangini said Jackson intends to remain involved with the team.
"D'Qwell's such a good guy. Even though he's not playing the
field, he'll be very active in meetings," Mangini said. "He'll
work with the young guys. He'll work with whoever. That's who he
is."
