Browns return specialist and part-time
quarterback Josh Cribbs missed practice with an unspecified knee
injury.
Cribbs was one of 14 players who sat out practice on Wednesday.
The Browns sent 12 players home with flulike symptoms and had 23
players listed on their injury report.
Cribbs ran back a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown on Sunday in
a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former college QB also
lined up behind center in a wildcat formation and gained 45 yards
on six carries. He also threw an interception.
Kicker Phil Dawson (calf) and tight end Steve Heiden (knee) both
were kept out of practice. Dawson has missed Cleveland's past four
games. Quarterback Derek Anderson (ankle) was listed on the week's
initial injury report but took part in practice.
