Good morning West Central Ohio! I’m Ari Sarsalari, and I hail from Madison, WI where I spent the last four years working to attain my degree in Meteorology (while having loads of fun, of course) at the University of Wisconsin. So yes, that does mean that I’m used to cold and snow, but doesn’t mean that I like it… I’d say that it’s about time for summer to arrive! After graduating in May 2007, my wife, a fellow Wisconsin graduate, and I quickly packed up and made the trek to Ohio.
Apart from the insanity of going to sleep at 6pm and waking up at 2am, I’d say that I pretty much have it made! I get to work with Lindsay and Paula, who are always so funny and lively…they definitely help to keep me awake in the morning! I’ve never really been much of a morning person, but as it turns out, the morning slot has been a great fit for me, as I get to do what I love five days a week, and that is forecasting weather and telling people what to expect for their days ahead.
I try to spend as much time with my wife, Alex, as I can during the one hour window of time that we see each other every day. Apart from that, I love listening to music, weightlifting, cooking, playing drums, wrestling, cleaning (I’m a neat freak), playing cards/board games, and eating exotic foods.
If you have any comments for me, or if you just want to say hello, ask me a weather question, random question, or even just tell me a joke, please feel free to shoot me an e-mail anytime at asarsalari@wlio.com. I promise that I’ll get back to you!
