Joe Downs comes to Limaland with more than a decade of experience in the sports broadcasting business. Joe's career began behind the camera as a videographer in his hometown of Portland, Maine. Since then he's gone from
Grand Junction, Colorado to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Harrisonburg, Virginia, covering everything from rodeo to the NFL to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

One of his biggest thrills was interviewing hockey Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux moments before he took the ice in his comeback with the Penguins. However, as exciting as covering the pro's has been, it's local high school and college sports that get's Joe's blood pumping and he's
excited about bringing that passion to WLIO's viewers.
