I joined the Your News Now family in the Spring of 2009. But I’m no stranger to Lima. I grew up about an hour west of the city in the small town of Coldwater. My family made regular trips to Lima to go shopping at the Lima Mall.
However, I came to Lima professionally as a reporter for FOX 25 in the summer of 2007 just days before the major floods in the Ottawa, Findlay and Bluffton areas. I literally got my feet wet in the news business fast.
At Fox I held just about every position a person can have in the newsroom—reporter, producer, news director, etc. But my passion remains out in the field. So, when the NBC and FOX newsrooms merged, I returned to my love of reporting . Now you can see me on both NBC Lima and Fox Lima.
I learned the basics of the business at Ball State University where I graduated with a degree in Telecommunications. I learned as much as I could during my four years in college by working for the school’s evening show NewsWatch. I also reported for NewsLink Indiana. The daily newscast airs on WIPB, Muncie, Indiana’s PBS affiliate.
In my spare time my husband Brian and I enjoy riding bikes , attending all the fairs and festivals the area has to offer, and relaxing with my extended family.
If you see me out on a story or just out on the town don’t hesitate to say hi, I enjoy meeting new people. You can also share your story ideas by sending me an email.
